Behavioral Interventionist

Basic Function

  • To provide and document direct behavior support to assigned student(s) by implementing the behavior treatment plan, behavior intervention plan and behavior crisis plan.

Job Description:

  • Implement evidenced based ABA treatment programs specifically designed for students with identified special needs
  • Participate, as a team member, to maintain a safe and respectful environment for the student
  • Ensure integrity of program implementation by following the behavior support plan, collecting accurate data and providing daily documentation
  • Attend mandatory trainings
  • Provide ongoing and accurate feedback to the Behavioral Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree and educational coursework completed in the areas of: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Child Development, Special Education, Psychology or a related field is preferred for Behavior Intervention positions
  • Prior experience working with children with special needs
  • Previous work experience with provision of ABA, positive behavior supports and crisis intervention for students with emotional disabilities in the school setting is preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is an asset

Work hours:

  • Full-time and Part-time opportunities are now available
  • Hours of operation are from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Several openings throughout the LAUSD catchment area
